Ok, so the title has nothing to do with the contents of this post.

What it is about is as follows:

Bangalore ODI. India vs. South Africa. Second Innings. Pathan and Gambhir batting. Sometime during these two making sorry and mistimed attempts to call/run. Arun Lal commentates:

"When there is no hesitation, we invariably make it."

What an eerily profound statement this is both on and off the field.

Psyche me!

Another gem from the Psychology series I am (still) working on. This from a course ambitiously called "The Psychology of Women".

A section on Menopause begins with this line:

Menopause is a rare event in nature — only humans and one species of whale experience it.

Hmmm. wonder what hot flashes on whales feels like.
